Sunday Mood

It’s Sunday my dear friends, readers and strangers! I don’t know about you but I’m glad it became a little cooler over night and after I had a fun night out with friends yesterday, I’m enjoying a relaxing Sunday writing these lines and doing stuff that’s been waiting to be done for a while now. And who knows, maybe I’ll treat myself with a coffee and a good book today at a nice viennese café, we’ll see. Anyway, what is the best thing to do when you want a nice and enjoyable Sunday? Of course, good music. That’s why I picked 6 of my favorite songs of today to show them to you and I have a little surprise for you at the end of the post 😉

MØRNING TUNE

It’s 10 a.m. and you wake up, you are still a little tipsy and need a good tune to start your day. You might consider taking a shower and afterwards you want to jam while you have a good breakfast. Well here is my tune for a good morning start…

INXS are a great band, unfortunately they are underrated even though “Never Tear Us Apart” is a huge song and I’m sure everyone knows it. “New Sensation” is a perfect song for a perfect start in the day for me personally, and maybe one of you guys shares the same thought.

M∆IL ME

I usually check out my mails on Sunday once again. You know sometimes you don’t have the time to reply to something because you are always busy doing something else on each and every day, except for Sunday. Yet, you need to focus while doing this kind of thing, as it’s not only e-mails, it can be work that you forgot to do or something else in need for your attention. So in this case, you will need something more calm and not too overly exaggerating. Maybe something like the one and only and incredible Adele.

Hopefully she’ll hurry up with her third LP 😉

STØP THE MESS

So after I had a nice morning and a good& healthy breakfast and after I checked my mails, it’s usually time to clean my mess and to make my little apartment look shiny and fine again. For that purpose you need a powerful song. Right now, I love to listen to CHVRCHES‘ song “Leave a Trace” and I’m so thrilled to see them live in November. Yet, their new single “Never Ending Circles” is more applying to me and I’m looking forward for their new album.

WØRK THAT BØD

I like to go to the gym or for a run or both on a Sunday, and we all know that your workout can become amazing with some good music to accompany it. Here’s one nice tune I like to listen recently when I work out.

C∆LMING DØWN

I’ve got 2 songs for this category. Well, this is the time where you start doing things slower, preparing yourself for the upcoming week and calm yourself down before you go to the cinema or watch a movie at home alone or maybe you have a nice cup of coffee and read an interesting blog post about Sunday music, you never know. Anyway here are my favs for calming down.

And one special song at the very end of this post…

This song is magical. When I first heard the song I fell in love with it and since then I’m listening to in on constant repeat. Michael Blumes‘ voice has such a nice and smooth tone. And here is the surprise, I mailed Michael saying how much I like the song and that it reminds me of a Chet Faker and Pacific Air genre fusion, so simply amazing. Moreover I asked him, if he’d be so kind to do an interview with me and he said “YES“. So next time, be ready for an interview with NYC based RnB singer Michael Blume.

Hope you liked the post. See you next time

XOXO Ilija
